About Shared and Respite Living

genU provides supported Shared and Respite Living. We support people to be empowered and enabled to participate in everyday activities and encouraged to develop and maintain skills associated with daily living. We support people using Person Centred practice, including Person Centred Active Support.

About the Role

As an Operations Manager you will provide effective leadership and systemic support to Shared and Respite Living Team leaders to ensure that people with a disability are supported to live safe, healthy and comfortable lives within a high quality person centred framework.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the establishment, delivery and review of high quality accommodation and support services to people with a disability and their families/carers;
  • Understand current service delivery trends and implement best practice;
  • Undertaking workforce analysis and projects and ensure work practices are conducted in accordance with occupational health safety, disability and tenancy legislation and genU policies and procedures;
  • Completing within agreed timeframes, records and administrative requirements to ensure the smooth running of the branch in accordance with genU policies and procedures and legislative requirements.

This is a full time position based in Frankston.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, disability, welfare, human service, psychology (or related field) and/or extensive experience in a relevant field;
  • Significant experience in the Disability Services Sector;
  • Significant experience within operational management;
  • Experience working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Report writing skills;
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
