Keep Australia Beautiful NSW is seeking an experienced Educator to join the EnviroMentors sustainability education team. The program works closely with local councils across the state to deliver high-quality sustainability education workshops to students across NSW. We are passionate about creating a more sustainable future through education and creating behaviour change through positive actions.

Please note that while our office is based in Newtown, this is a mobile education position and the successful applicant will be required travel to and work across metropolitan Sydney and in regional areas of NSW on a regular basis. All travel expenses will be covered, and the successful candidate will be supplied with transport and a laptop for the duration of their employment.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor of Teaching, Grad Dip Ed and/or demonstrated experience working as an Educator.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students from a wide range of backgrounds.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision, and as a member of an established team.
• Excellent oral, presentation and written skills.
• Valid Class C Drivers Licence.
• Computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable Criteria:

• Degree in Environmental Sciences or demonstrated experience working in an environmental field.
• Working knowledge of the NSW ACARA K – 12 syllabuses.
• Knowledge of local government structures, systems and protocols.
• Knowledge of current waste and sustainability trends.
• Experience in working in mobile settings.
