About the program

The Jesuit Community College (JCC) is a Community Based RTO and Learn Local. JCC prioritises working with participants with little or no prior educational experience and/ or whose circumstances have resulted in a disrupted educational experience.

We seek to link people into a community of learning, offering alternative pathways to further study, work or meaningful and fulfilling participation in the community. Our aim is to provide innovative, flexible and supported training to meet individual learner's needs.

About the engagement

Jesuit Community College has incorporated the highly engaging Bounce program into our exciting accredited courses in Foundation Skills. Our accredited courses focus on ensuring that students are prepared for a successful working life, have the confidence and motivation to achieve anything to which they set their mind.

Jesuit Community College is seeking to engage a passionate, motivated and qualified contract Trainer and Assessor to deliver:

  • 22476VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory)
  • FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways

The contractor role will be based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Training will commence April 2020.

To be considered for this engagement, you will need:

  • Experience delivering national accredited courses
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Passion and commitment to improve learner's outcomes.
  • Sound ability to develop, deliver, assess and evaluate training qualifications
  • Ability to achieve assessment deliverables and compliance requirements.

Courses will generally involve 4 days per week delivery.

A competitive contractor rate is offered.

Trainer/Assessor Requirements

Trainers are required to have:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence, own vehicle and the ability to travel throughout the region
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • The ability to pass a National Police check.

Desired Knowledge

  • Trainers that speak a second language such as Arabic is desirable
