Business Support Services is responsible for financial administration, human resources and operations across the organisation.

Jesuit Social Services operates a range of programs for disadvantaged young people, families and communities from various operational sites across Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Jesuit Social Services is growing and we are searching for a passionate Payroll Officer, who will support the Senior Payroll Officer in providing an efficient and effective payroll delivery to 300+ employees.

This position will also ensure compliance with payroll related legislation and standards across the organisation, maintain employee data and production of workforce metrics reports.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the change management and implementation of a new payroll system over time.

This is a part time (0.5 EFT) role, located at Central Office in Richmond, with current working from home requirements during this pandemic situation.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • Well developed payroll acumen, with previous experience using Ascender Pay Plus or a similar system
  • A motivated self-starter with plenty of initiative
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and time management capabilities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in changing situations
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships quickly, is essential in this role
