About the program

Business Support is responsible for financial administration, human resources and operations of Jesuit Social Services and is located at Central Office.

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to manage a broad range of tasks and projects across the property and fleet portfolios.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the organisation’s properties and facilities are fit for purpose and well maintained, overseeing the management of fleet vehicles, ensuring compliance with OH&S and WHS legislation as well as ensuring the organsiational insurances are current and sufficient for business needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing the property, facilities and/or fleet of a multi-site organisation
  • A thorough understanding of general maintenance and compliance requirements for commercial buildings.
  • Some knowledge of, and experience in, planning and building permit processes would be highly regarded.
  • A knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • The ability to multi-task and successfully prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with experience on creating organisational documentations such as policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and build strong, successful teams.
  • Understanding and sympathy with, and a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership within the mission and ethos of Jesuit Social Services.
