About the program

Business Support is responsible for financial administration, human resources, ICT and operations of Jesuit Social Services.

About the role

We are seeking a self starter to assist the ICT Manager with various operational activities, projects, desktop support and liaising with our external providers, who manage our mostly outsourced ICT environments.

This is a varied role in which you can expect a significant portion of your time spent on ICT project related tasks, escalation and vendor follows ups, mobile phone management and a smaller amount of time on ad/hoc support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in managing the ICT component of staff on-boarding & off-boarding
  • Manage day to day requests for mobiles phones, including troubleshooting and configuration
  • Assist in the provision of ICT support to all end users in conjunction with outsourced Managed Services Provider
  • Follow up escalated issues with the relevant external vendor(s)
  • Coordinate hardware needs and replacement of equipment in consultation with the ICT Manager and Managed Services Provider
  • Participation in ICT projects and projects with an ICT component
  • Manage and keep accurate records of ICT assets

During the COVID-19 pandemic, you will need to be able to work remotely until we can resume regular office routines, from our Central Office location in Richmond.

Candidate Requirements

This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • Prior exposure working in a Windows environment with Microsoft applications
  • ICT Tertiary Qualification with demonstrated equivalent industry or similar work experience
  • Proven knowledge/experience in network support, helpdesk, hardware/software management and maintenance
  • Stakeholder management liaising with external support vendors or Managed Service Providers
  • Knowledge of MS Office 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, is desirable
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously, but also not afraid to ask for help
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
