Jesuit Social Services is a social change organisation working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential.
Since 1977, we’ve provided services in some of the most disadvantaged in our community.
We place a high priority on advocacy and are a leader in policy development and research.
Right now there is debate raging across Victoria around issues of youth justice that threatens to undermine the foundations of what was once considered a progressive and effective system.
The Youth Justice Advocacy Project has been established with the support of philanthropic funding to advocate for a more evidence-based and less punitive response to youth justice issues.
As a strong advocate in this space with more than 40 years’ experience delivering practical programs and support to young people and adults engaged with, or exiting, the justice system, Jesuit Social Services is well placed to deliver a campaign for change that will benefit the entire community.
The #WorthASecondChance campaign is now well established with a good foundation of sector and public support ready to be taken to the next stage.
Jesuit Social Services is looking for a passionate, talented and energetic Campaign Manager to implement a 12-month campaign plan that will:
The role will work closely with the General Manager - Strategic Communication and Engagement and will benefit from access to service staff and participants, as well as close collaboration with the policy and advocacy team.
The role is currently advertised as full time but flexible or part time work arrangements can be negotiated for the right candidate.
A competitive salary and attractive salary packaging apply.
To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated experience implementing public campaign strategies and possess a detailed understanding of youth justice issues and the political environment.
You will be creative, energetic and sympathetic to the values of the organisation.
