The Position

The Senior Manager, Community Housing is a senior leadership role within the organisation with a focus on delivering best practice community housing services. In addition, it provides community housing expert advice and support to the Executive Team and the national leadership team to ensure consistent standards and community housing expansion.

Reporting to the Director, the role is responsible for all community housing operations and program services in Victoria.

It includes:

  • Direct management of the housing and programs team including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and development in Victoria.
  • Full responsibility for all community housing operations and program services in Victoria (including WHS obligations, Regulatory Performance Standards, funding accountability)
  • Ownership of government and other key stakeholder relationships and being YWCA’s subject matter expert on Community Housing both internally and externally

The Person

To be considered for this wonderful opportunity you must have demonstrated community housing management experience, ideally for women, rooming houses and independent housing options, along with am intersectional client centred approach to decision making.

It is also essential that you have:

  • Solid experience with the Housing Regulation, specifically the Victorian Regulator
  • Demonstrated experience in expansion of community housing stock
  • Knowledge of the range of services required by women, housing and young people with high support needs.
  • High level communication skills including conflict management, negotiation skills, report and submission writing

You will also have tertiary qualification in social sciences, housing, public health or a related discipline, or relevant experience.

An attractive executive-level base salary, plus statutory superannuation will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with skills and experience. Full PBI/Not for Profit packaging is also available.
