The Role:

Reporting to the Executive Manager Accommodation and Client Services, the Manager SIL Services is responsible for the operational management of Supported Independent Living (SIL) Services teams in the provision of quality services across emergency, complex care and residential services for people living with disabilities.

Responsibility is also held for ensuring all services are provided in accordance with ONCALL’s strategic plan, policies, procedures, legislation requirements and industry standards.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Accommodation and Client Services you will:

  • in collaboration with the Executive Manager Accommodation and Client Services, develop and execute ONCALL’s strategic and operational SIL Services plan that aligns to ONCALL’s commitment to person centred, contemporary service delivery, zero tolerance and continuous improvement ethos
  • Oversee and lead the implementation of the SIL Services growth strategy and framework
  • Support SIL Services Coordinators to plan, implement and oversee all aspects of provision and delivery of SIL Services, in metropolitan Melbourne and rural Victoria.
  • Promote ONCALL and secure new business opportunities within SIL Services
  • Lead a team to ensure high quality Disability Accommodation service delivery
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure high standard service delivery
  • Ensure After hours services is delivered effectively, with issues escalated and reported appropriately and recorded and reported for tracking and quality improvement

The Person:

You’ll be driven and passionate about building capability within your team. In addition, you possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Disability or other appropriate tertiary qualification relevant to working in community services
  • Post Graduate Qualification in relevant field and/or business (preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of legislation and quality framework related to Disability Services Sectors
  • Strong leadership and management skills, able to build and develop cohesive teams
  • Experience working with people of all ages, with complex needs and behaviours
  • Experience in managing Major Incidents and case reviews and liaising with the DHHS, NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission or relevant organisations
  • Experience advocating an active support model based around a person centred and individualised support approach
  • Strong reporting writing skills and business acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to manage competing demands
  • Experience leading change effectively
