The Organisation

We are representing an organisation which provides support to, and advocating for, the most disadvantaged and vulnerable within our community. Our client is primarily funded by Government and offers state-wide services in metropolitan, regional and rural areas.

The Role

The Health Information Manager is responsible for health record management across the organisation and ensures compliance with Commonwealth and State legislative requirements as well as internal policies concerning the collection, storage, organisation and release of client information. The broader team provides expertise in extracting, analysing and presenting client data to facilitate and support evidence-based decision-making.

Reporting to the GM, Corporate Services you will:

  • Provide leadership and direction, and be the principal reference point for client information management
  • Manage the accuracy and quality of data to enable high quality reporting and analysis
  • Provide and maintain high quality ongoing user support and improvements to the client information system
  • Manage client service invoicing and implement strategies and procedures to improve the current invoicing processes and systems
  • Provide leadership and support in the development and maintenance of new and existing systems and business processes
  • Provide high level timely support and expertise to the management of file requests and subpoenas
  • Act as the organisation’s Privacy Officer

The Person:

You’ll be driven and show genuine passion for building capability within your team. In addition, you:

  • are a natural leader; modelling a positive attitude, professional conduct and unwavering commitment to quality outcomes and service delivery for internal and external stakeholders
  • possess a tertiary qualification in health information management or equivalent
  • can offer advanced technical skills in managing and manipulating databases, including generating data queries, analysing results and presenting data to inform reporting and strategic decisions
  • have a solid and practical understanding of state and federal policies and procedures relevant to personal and health information and health record management, including Privacy and Internal Review

The Offer:

The Manager, Health Information position is offered on a permanent basis at a competitive salary of $114K plus superannuation, and 17.5% annual leave loading. In addition, you will be able to access attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging, and purchase up to an additional four weeks annual leave.
