Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia, employing over 850 employees and delivering more than 60 programs across Victoria. VACCA is a dynamic Aboriginal community-controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal community. With a focus on ‘healing’, ‘protecting’ and ‘connecting,’ VACCA provides culturally grounded services for Aboriginal children, families and adults that distinguishes it from mainstream organisations.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director, Strategy and Services will lead, enhance and further develop VACCA’s programs and services. It will also enhance and strengthen policy, advocacy and research activities, and its role as a lead agency in the protection and care of Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
The Executive Director, Strategy and Services position will support the Regional Client Services Directors and the Director of Client Practice Management in achieving high quality of services across VACCA and will oversee program outcomes in line with VACCA’s strategic direction.
Ideally, you will possess sound knowledge of the context in which VACCA operates; the child and family welfare sector and suite of programs in Victoria; service delivery by Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations; and Victorian Government reforms regarding self-determination and child and family services.

You must be fully vaccinated and have, and continue to hold, a full Victorian Driver’s Licence and will also be required to obtain a current employment working with children check card and undergo a police check. A higher degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or significant experience within the human services field, is required.
