The Position

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant is responsible for overseeing the functions relating to financial accounting, payroll processing, and efficient management accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements, and funding requirements of the organisation
• Develop and manage financial systems/policies
• Oversee the external Contract Management and reporting requirements including acquittals
• Process fortnightly payroll in compliance with Awards
• Contribute to the development, review and implementation of Finance policies, procedures and systems

The Person

About you:

• Experience in management reporting and ability to analyse financial accounts and information
• Proficient in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office suite and financial/software programs, ideally MYOB
• Experience in developing and implementing new processes/systems (desirable)
• Degree or Diploma qualification, with relevant experience (or substantial relevant experience)
• CPA/CA qualification (desirable)

In addition, you will be required to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a current Victorian Working With Children check.
