About the role

As a disability support worker with Jigsaw Blue, you will provide direct support to children, youth and people with disabilities that empowers them to live the life they choose and maximises their independence.

We are currently seeking qualified people to provide day to day support to our participants. Support may include assistance to access activities of interest in the community or assisting with daily living tasks including meal preparation, personal care and domestic tasks.

You will work a range of shifts either within a team environment or independently over a 24/7 rotating roster, with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and active nights.

This is a permanent position.

  • A Valid Driver's Licence and reliable car
  • Availability for sleepover shifts
  • A commitment to child safe standards
  • A certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent)
  • A current CPR and First Aid qualification
  • A committed, dedicated and supportive attitude
  • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate (2 vaccinations and a booster)
  • To enjoy working as part of a team or under limited guidance
  • A contemporary outlook towards people with a disability
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster comprising of morning, evening, active nights, sleepovers and weekend shifts.
  • To Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Previous experience in the disability sector is preferred
