About the Role

The Active Living Centre at Jewish Care Victoria requires a Social Support Group Team Leader that is responsible for leading and coordinating a team which actively delivers social support, planned activities, lunch and exercise to aged care clients over 65. The programs will promote heathy living and ageing, supporting people’s interests and social connection during each day from 2 sites, Windsor and Caulfield.

Skills and Experience

  • Delivery of programs in a community setting including Social Support Groups (Planned Activity Group)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams of group facilitators
  • Experience in community re-ablement programs
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Developing & adapting programs for high client engagement and attendance.
  • Service billing
  • A satisfactory police check to be maintained at all times
  • An understanding of the need for privacy and confidentiality
  • An ability to work efficiently, independently and without direct supervision
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office and other systems
