Jewish Care Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation, is the largest provider of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. Services include Aged Residential Care, Assessment Referral and Individual Support Services, Community Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Youth and Family Services and Holocaust Survivors Programs.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic and team orientated individual to join the Research, Quality and Innovation team to take up the role of Clinical Nurse Educator. This is a three day a week, permanent part-time position and is based in Windsor, Melbourne. The successful candidate will work within a small team of that are partners to the business in all that we do.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Development of specific clinical education modules for all our services in line with Evidence Based Practice
  • Rollout of Education program and toolbox sessions for all care workers undertaking clinical work.
  • Development and maintenance of learning and development record keeping process in partnership with People and Culture
  • Development of related work instructions if required to support the training and education program,
  • Auditing of the programs and clinical audits in line with relevant continuous improvement plans and National Standards

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a registered nurse
  • Use training and education techniques that cause capture and uptake of information
  • Experience developing and delivering clinical education in a like area including IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • An enthusiasm for delivery of excellent care
  • Eye for details and mature project planning and management skills
  • Background in infection prevention and control would be highly desirable
