Jean Hailes for Women's Health is a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving women's health throughout the various stages of their lives. We combine research, clinical care, policy work and practical education for women and health professionals.

Currently a work-from-home role (eventually based at Head Office in East Melbourne, restrictions pending) within the Public Health & Education team, the Community & Health Professionals Project Officer will manage projects relating to educational outputs such as resources, webinars and digital content, as well as scoping new projects and supporting the Women’s Health Policy Alliance. The successful candidate will be passionate about women’s health and understand the principles of health literacy including diversity-responsiveness.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with Jean Hailes clinicians and external experts to develop and review health professional and consumer resources
• Working closely with the Media and Communications team to manage translation deliverables for Jean Hailes’ NHMRC research partners, including the development of resources and other communications
• Supporting work on the annual national Women’s Health Survey and Women’s Health Policy Alliance

• Scoping feasibility of new projects and engagement/education methods, including analysing data from surveys, environmental scans and literature reviews

Your skills and experience will include:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in public health or health promotion, social studies or education
• 3+ years working in public health or health promotion for community and health professionals
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Demonstrated experience in working with diverse audiences and the practical application of an intersectional approach to projects
