Role Overview

The Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator WA is a relationship management role, responsible for growing the fundraising capacity of JDRF through engagement with the T1D community, the corporate community and other key stakeholders via JDRF’s portfolio of fundraising events and campaigns including; One Walk, Giving Day and a variety of Community Fundraising opportunities. The Fundraising and Engagement Coordinator will work closely with members of the Fundraising and Engagement Team to cultivate and nurture relationships that ultimately create opportunities to mobilise the JDRF community to fundraise.

Success in this role relies on the timely execution of select national campaigns and programs, coupled with targeted relationship management across various mediums and state-focused administration and volunteer coordination.

This role will be responsible for delivering on role-specific campaign and program KPIs, within budget and in collaboration with JDRF colleagues.

This is a part-time role that we expect will work two days per week.

Essential Capabilities

  • Advanced relationship management and business development skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish rapport, build relationships, generate commitment and motivate people.
  • Highly organised individual who can coordinate multiple events, people and campaigns in a fast-paced environment, with differing timelines and responsibilities.
  • Engaging, professional, personable and mature person with relationship management and volunteer or event management experience.
  • An accountable, responsible and driven individual who is fundraising-focused and solution-oriented, and who can work autonomously and as a member of a wider team.
  • Flexible, adaptable and agile with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in the not-for-profit sector with a focus on relationship fundraising.
  • Demonstrated experience cultivating supporters to engage with and fundraise for a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Proven experience nurturing and growing community fundraising and/or community partnerships.
  • Demonstrated strong administrative, computer literacy and customer service skills.
  • Strong database skills (preferably Salesforce), together with the ability to learn new software and programs as required.
  • Demonstrated experience in volunteer management and coordination, with the ability to encourage, support, motivate, and inspire to ensure collaborative delivery of outcomes.
