Role Purpose

Providing effective leadership to ensure consistent high standard service delivery across the team, covering all aspects of people management, quality and compliance, and driving positive achievement through collaboration with other stakeholders. Ensure that JCAL remains positioned as the foremost inclusive employment partner in each region & delivers an exceptional customer experience.  The Area Managers primary responsibility will be the overall performance of each program within the locations under their management and contributing and driving strategy to build JCAL business. They will manage team members, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to fulfil the company strategy.

Demonstrate Leadership:

• You will be able to define what leadership means to you and continue to demonstrate this through your team keeping them motivated and offering encouragement when needed

Develop and Maintain Partnerships for Business Growth:

• Attend and organize networking events to develop relationships with key referral partners
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including proactively identifying, pursuing and building a portfolio of high value employer and industry relationships to support participants with opportunities for work placement

Essential skills and capabilities

• Willing to travel between North Sydney and Central Coast
• Demonstrated experience in people management and leadership, including strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in managing a site, including a good understanding of rostering and budgets and adhering to compliance requirements
• An outgoing, approachable, enthusiastic personality that inspires and motivates staff along with the ability to work in an ever changing environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, staff and external stakeholders
• Relevant qualifications in Community Services, employment or education and have either direct experience in the Employment Services Industry or transferable skills and knowledge from a like industry.
• A current driver’s licence, police check, working with children check, and eligibility to work in Australia
• NDIS Workers Screening Check

Highly Desirable

• A good understanding of the NDIS with minimum 1 year experience in service management
