  • A willingness and ability to create and work to project plans, and be accountable for such plans;
  • Experience in fault resolution of hardware including but not restricted to servers, switches, PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones printers and printer servers;
  • Experience in fault resolution of software issues including but not restricted to Microsoft operating systems and a variety of desktop applications;
  • Experience in supporting Windows desktop, Windows Server environments, as well as Apple operating systems;
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners;
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests;
  • Providing technical support and setting up accounts for new users;
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary;
  • Testing new technology’s;
  • Maintain security, phone and office equipment including electronic signage boards;
  • Administration/reporting requests on an adhoc basis.

Other Attributes

  • Must have strong communication and relationship building skills;
  • Must demonstrably share the values of the trade union movement. Previous experience in a trade union will be very highly regarded.
