About the opportunity

We are seeking reliable, empathetic, and compassionate In-Home CAREGivers for a number of clients who are ready to start as soon as possible. To join our organisation, you could fit in one of these categories who have been successful with us:

  • A student in allied health looking to gain experience in looking after seniors and extra income
  • A mum with school children able to work 9 am to 3 pm looking for some extra income
  • A person looking for a career change working full time as a caregiver
  • An empty nester who is looking to give back to the community and earn an income
  • A retiree looking to engage in the community working to your preferred hours

We conduct considerable in-house face to face (including personal care) and online training for all our CAREGivers prior to commencing shifts.

Our services include assistance with personal care, light household duties, meal preparation, medication reminders, transport to appointments, shopping and social outings.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team as a CAREGiver. To us, it’s personal and we need special CAREGivers to help us personally provide the best quality in-home care and support for our clients.

About this role:

  • Providing compassionate home care through building trust and taking the lead to support individuals to live as independently as possible at home.
  • Individualised care that is tailored to suit the personal needs of our individual clients.
  • Provide personal care to our clients including assistance with transport and general home support, assistance with meal preparation, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.

Ideally, we would like you to:

  • Have a big heart, patience, and a desire to help improve the lives of seniors and their families.
  • Be personable, approachable and able to build relationships with each of your clients.

  • Have clear communication skills.
  • Be proficient in use of and have a mobile smart phone.
  • If you are reliable, caring, compassionate, and value and enjoy the company of older people, we invite you to join our team.

Preferred requirements:

  • You live in the local area of our service area of Boroondara or Northcote
  • A reliable car and at a minimum, your green P plates.
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
