DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

• Provide massage treatment tin a safe and secure environment to women attending the Centre.
• Maintain accurate client records, including client evaluation.
• Provide support, information and referral to women as appropriate.
• Facilitate workshops and/or groups on relevant topics (for example, stretching and self-massage) as time and circumstances permit.
• Undertake outreach to key target groups.
• Maintain/increase skills and knowledge in massage therapy.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

• Appropriate qualifications, training and/or demonstrated experience in Massage Therapy.
• Membership of the appropriate professional body.
• Ability to design and implement workshops using massage to benefit women’s health and wellbeing.
• Demonstrated commitment to feminist philosophy.
• Ability to work independently, and with a team.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills.

You must have a current NSW Drivers License, National Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Police Check.

The successful applicant will be offered a permanent part time position. A remuneration package commensurate with professional experience will be offered, based on the SCHADS Award. The Illawarra Women's Health Centre is a union supporting workplace.
