This is a unique opportunity to work in an exceptional women's health organisation - making a positive and critical difference in women's lives. We are seeking an experienced social worker or caseworker to be responsible for the delivery of casework, referral, advocacy and information to clients. The successful candidate will have an ability to provide low and medium intensity casework and:

  • Be able to provide trauma informed care, within a feminist and social determinants of health framework.
  • Have an excellent understanding of the complexity and range of issues faced by women who have experienced domestic and family abuse, trauma and/or social or financial disadvantage.
  • Understand the local and state availability of resources, services and supports for women in the lllawarra
  • Understand the criminal justice and family law systems and the housing sector as they relate to domestic and family abuse.
  • Be able to actively listen, build relationships and communicate sensitively.
  • Have the ability to advocate on behalf of clients.

You must have a current first aid certificate or capacity to acquire one before commencement, and a current NSW Drivers Licence and Working with Children Police Check.

The successful applicant will be offered a 9-12-month part-time contract starting immediately, where possible. A remuneration package commensurate with professional experience will be offered.
