The Opportunity

Our People and Culture Services exist to strengthen employee and client experiences by uniting ONE TEAM IPC Health so that they can meaningfully partner for life with our community. As we enter the next cycle of our Strategic Plan to Embed Innovation (in progress!), Scale for Demand and Evidence our Impact, we are growing our People and Culture service offering by testing a new structure and new positions over an initial 12 month period.

In a community and workforce greatly impacted by COVID-19, our Wellbeing and Safety Officer partners with service leaders and our people to deliver targeted best-practice wellbeing, safety and injury management initiatives that proactively prevent injury as well as facilitating a workers’ early and sustainable return to work following injury.

  • Flexible Part-Time opportunity until 24 June 2022, 45.6 hours per fortnight (3 days per week)
  • Availability to travel throughout Melbourne's Western Suburbs with the flexibility to work from home as well

This position is classified as a Management and Administrative Officer Grade 3 $74,448.40 per annum pro rata ($75,935.60 per annum pro rata from 12 July) under the Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2018-2022.

You will make a difference by

  • Providing advice and direction to service leaders in the development, implementation and monitoring of wellbeing and safety policies, plans, programs and initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of Health and Wellness initiatives, leading implementation through engaging key stakeholders, planning, championing and delivering outcomes that increase employee engagement and support a culture of wellbeing
  • Supporting and guiding the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Committee on wellbeing and safety trends

To succeed, you will need

  • Tertiary or post-graduate qualification in WHS or demonstrated on-the-job experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of all principles of WHS risk management and their application in a complex diverse healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex WHS and workers compensation problems
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
