About the role

Be a part of the Brimbank and Melton High Risk Accommodation Response (HRAR) team, supporting residents living in, and proprietors of, high risk accommodation such as public housing, rooming houses, community housing, caravan parks and SRS. Through outreach engagement, the team will provide COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout information and education, COVID-19 preparedness and prevention health and other health promotion messaging. You will also be providing case planning support to residents in HRAR settings to link with health and wellbeing services to address issues as identified by them.

Based at Deer Park campus, the opportunities available are two Full Time Fixed Term (Special Projects) position until 30 June 2021. This role is classified as a Social and Community Services Employee Level 3 under the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Services Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2017.

About you

To succeed, you will need a qualification in community development, social work or a related area. You will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in infection prevention and control in complex settings, including the ability to take initiative to act on any identified risks. You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.

Through your experience, you will have the capacity to work with complex clients and undertake needs assessment to effectively refer to appropriate services.With a special interest in health promotion and supporting initiatives to better improve their health and wellbeing, you will thrive in a fast paced work environment.A current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence is required.
