Be a valued part of the Brimbank and Melton High Risk Accommodation Response (HRAR) team, supporting residents living in, and proprietors of, high risk accommodation such as public housing, rooming houses, community housing, caravan parks and SRS. Through outreach engagement, the team will provide COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout information and education, COVID-19 preparedness and prevention health and other health promotion messaging. You will also be providing support to residents in HRAR settings to link with health and wellbeing services to address issues as identified by them. As well as develop and facilitate COVID-19, including vaccine rollout, and other health messaging information sessions where required.
The role also entails reviewing HRAR facilities’ infection prevention and control processes assessment of outbreak management plan; provide where relevant, quality improvement action plans and timelines for the proprietor to action; COVID positive and close contact management including case management responsibilities.
We are seeking to recruit at 2.0 FTE, Fixed term until 30th June 2021. This role is classified under the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.
You will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and qualifications in Nursing field and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Have demonstrated experience in contemporary infection prevention and control practices including a strong understanding of DHHS COVID Infection Control Guidelines. Be highly skilled in health promotion and education including well developed knowledge and understanding of vaccine rollout health messaging. You will have strong knowledge and understanding of DHHS COVID Case and Contact Management Guidelines. Experience in working with people from a diverse background or with complex psychosocial and/or medical needs. And excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Previous experience in an immunisation-based setting is desirable.
Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence and a satisfactory National Police History Check.
