Join the RhED team in this diverse and exciting role!

The Program Support and Intake Worker will perform an integral support function for the Global RhED (Resourcing Health and Education in the Sex Industry) program and its clients.

RhED is comprised of several programs with diverse support services that support current and former sex workers of all genders as well as the sex work industry, clients of sex workers, extended families of sex workers, and the broader community.

Working with a feminist, sex positive lens as well as within the social model of health, the service provides trauma informed, holistic, responsive and comprehensive services to its community, acknowledging the health and wellbeing impacts of stigma and discrimination attached to the sex industry.

Ideally, you will possess:

  • A professional qualification in Administration, media, marketing, communications, social work, community services, counselling or equivalent
  • Experience in Lived experience in sex work industry or willingness to learn industry specific information to support the sex worker
    communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with a diverse group of people over the phone
  • Excellent knowledge of the stigma and discrimination faced by sex workers and barriers to access safe health and support services.
  • A clear understanding of social model of health, intersectionality, social justice, harm minimisation and harm reduction approaches, community and social health and the impact of stigma and marginalisation.
