About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO and as part of the leadership team, you will lead, engage, inspire and develop NDIS Psychosocial and Disability Support workers to deliver exceptional client experiences. With 10 direct reports and the support of casual and volunteer staff, you will inherit a high performing team, a growing and successful NDIS program and have enormous scope to influence and contribute. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Staff induction, day to day management, training and professional development
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, quality standards and controls in the discharge of the NDIS program
  • Ensuring appropriate and effective use of resources and the accuracy of data in SupportAbility
  • Implementation and/or development of systems and processes to support efficiency and agility in service delivery
  • Actively contributing to broader agency reporting, planning and review processes
  • Representing the agency at various network and stakeholder meetings as required

Key requirements

We are looking for an experienced, engaged, vibrant, helpful and proactive NDIS Manager with a strong culture and mission focus. Your experience ideally includes experience working within the disability/community sector and knowledge of the mental health and/or homelessness sectors. In addition, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Social Work, Community Development or a related discipline
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of NDIS systems and processes and experience using SupportAbility
  • Experience leading and supporting teams
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – including effective report writing skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills enabling you to develop and maintain effective and productive working relationships with others and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • High level organisational ability and effective analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • A strong service orientation and a willingness to pitch in and help others
  • A values-based approach to work aligned with the mission of St Mary’s House of Welcome
