IPPF’s Niu Vaka strategy aims to ensure that all people in the Pacific are free to make choices about their sexuality and wellbeing without discrimination, through improving lifesaving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in nine Pacific Island Countries - Fiji, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands.

The purpose of the Senior Programme Manager is to support the effective implementation of the Niu Vaka strategy and all restricted projects through comprehensive project management. Based in Suva, Fiji, this role involves significant travel. It will report to the Director, Programmes and Operations Pacific and be a senior member of the IPPF Pacific team.

You have a proven track record of managing large, multi-country donor programmes. You have exceptional relationship building skills and an ability to work collaboratively and effectively in cross-cultural settings with numerous stakeholders. You have advanced project management, report writing, analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to think creatively. You have a graduate qualification in international development/public health/social science degree or equivalent with strong experience in the Pacific, ideally in health-related programmes. You are supportive of SRHR and a women’s right to choose. This position is open to international candidates, however due to current travel restrictions, Fijian citizens and non-Fijian citizens already residing in Fiji are encouraged to apply.
