Our client, a peak membership body that advocates for the public health sector in Victoria, are currently looking for a Policy & Advocacy Advisor with strong policy and project management experience to join their team. This is a unique opportunity where you will get the opportunity to use your policy expertise to advocate for better outcomes while working in collaboration with like-minded colleagues who are all aligned to their cause.

Not often do opportunities present where you can really make the role your own! Enjoy working closely with all parts of the organisation’s member base; Victoria’s public hospitals and community health services. You will improve through policy development, advocacy and engagement, national policy support for public sector aged care providers in Victoria as well as supporting broader health policy and advocacy initiatives. You’re someone who is agile and responsive to changing needs, has a desire to add value to a business and thrives on building strong relationships with key stakeholder groups.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and build on existing policy reform agenda
• Facilitate member consultation sessions to identify issues & respond accordingly
• Advocate for policy reform to influence government to adopt policies & programs to improve the public aged care sector in VIC
• Develop strong policy documentation to support advocacy & engagement
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to support joint advocacy 

A little bit about YOU! As the successful applicant you will have notable experience in project management capable of supporting project delivery on time and on budget, strong written communication and analytical skills and a tertiary undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in a relevant field.
