This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced project officer, who is passionate about making a positive impact in the community and committed to influencing the wicked social problem of family violence.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a Project Officer to work closely with the Respectful Man Advisory Group to lead the conversion of the Respectful Man (RM) program to be delivered safely in an online setting from a face to face setting. The position holder will take a lead role in supporting the design, testing and evaluation of new approaches to online programs that support working with men. The role will assist to build a knowledge of what works while using this to enhance the capability of staff that work with men.

We are seeking an applicant with a degree in education, gender studies, community development, public health or another relevant discipline and experience in project/stakeholder management. We are looking for a sound understanding of the evidence base around violence prevention in education settings/ respectful relationships education. Candidates with an understanding of issues around men’s health and wellbeing, masculinities, and gender equality will be highly regarded.

We are offering very limited face to face services under strict conditions following a risk assessment. Applicants should have flexibility to work from home or the nearest Interrelate office, as COVID-19 and other business needs demand.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Degree in education, gender studies, community development, public health or another relevant discipline.
  2. Sound understanding of the evidence base around violence prevention in education settings/ respectful relationships education.
  3. Experience in the development of on-line education programs.
  4. An understanding of issues around men’s health and wellbeing, masculinities, and gender equality.
  5. Experience working within the prevention of violence against women, respectful relationships, education or family violence sectors.
  6. Demonstrated experience in social service program design/delivery.
  7. Experience in project management and stakeholder management.
  8. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work within competing deadlines.
  9. Ability to manage time independently, prioritise and manage competing demands, with a high level of professionalism.
  10. Demonstrated capacity for problem solving, creativity and lateral thinking.
  11. Excellent relationship management and communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with individuals and groups.
  12. Strong computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  13. High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
