International Needs Australia (INA) is a Christian aid and development not for profit working with overseas partners to reduce poverty and illiteracy of people in the world’s poorest countries. The Role

INA is seeking a driven and proactive leader to provide visionary and strategic leadership to deliver on the mission of the organisation. Reporting to the Board, you will have responsibility for all aspects of the organisation including financial management, strategic planning, stakeholder relations, compliance, income generation and organisational and staff development.

You will be someone that is able to naturally form and nurture relationships through supporting and empowering your team, while also comfortable interacting with overseas partners, governments, and regulatory bodies and developing meaningful relationships with donors, beneficiaries, community organisations, churches and volunteers.

Skills Required

You will have:

  • Experience at a senior management level of a successful NFP business that includes people leadership and HR practices, asset and capital management, safety, legislative and standards compliance, financial management covering cash flow, balance sheet and profit and loss reporting.
  • Practical experience in the operations of an overseas aid and development organization.
  • Demonstrated capability of working with the Board and key external stakeholders both in and outside Australia including the church community.
  • A strong commitment and alignment with INA’s mission, vision and values and philosophy statement and your personal values and an inter-denominational appreciation and willingness to serve those with other beliefs.
