The Role:
The purpose of this role is to lead the Financial Services team in order to develop and deliver high quality financial services to its members within community housing.
The Responsiblities:
- Leadership: recruitment and inductions of new team members, conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing training and support, lead the bookkeeping team
- Financial: Provide financial advice to member co-operatives, prepare and analyse housing financial reports, maintain awareness of financial performance and compliance issues, compliance reporting
- Services: Annual Rent Review, develop and implement operational procedures, provide advice and resources to members
The Candidate:
- A degree or post graduate qualification in Finance or Business is a must
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including Australian Accountancy Standards and GST legislation
- Sound understanding of Australian Charities and Not For Profit Commission (ACNC)
- Experience working within a community housing or community development organisation is a must
- Proven experience in a similar managerial position
