About the role

The exciting new role of Business Intelligence Analyst reports to the GM of Business Intelligence and will contribute specialist technical skills across a range of tools and systems, including SQL and Microsoft Power BI. You will enjoy developing value-adding Business Intelligence/Analytics by partnering with subject matter experts, providing insights and opportunities for improvement initiatives, inc; process inefficiencies, people/capability issues, technology/system deficits. This will be instrumental in delivering on our promise to customers and successfully transforming our business in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the Board of becoming the health care provider of choice. You will:

  • Create and manage the data warehouse
  • Work with Business units to identify value impact areas
  • Standardise and optimise the practices and measuring value
  • Develop insights that inform and influence decision making
  • Identify, develop and deliver improvement initiatives
  • Engage and coach multiple stakeholders with varying digital literacy and data-driven decision making skill levels 

 This broad-ranging impactful role will suit an experienced Business Analyst or Intelligence Analyst confident working with large data sets and successfully producing meaningful findings. And will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, or a discipline developing strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience utilising business intelligence tools (Power BI etc) to create solutions supporting the business
  • Strong project management and delivery skills that support leadership decision-making
  • The ability to provide high-quality analysis inc. business cases
  • Strong attention to detail
