Based in Ballarat, we are a privately owned company providing quality supports and services to participants under the NDIS. Our purpose is to support people with disabilities to live, play and grow - and we do this with passion and an unwavering commitment to excellence and ethics.

To ensure a high level of support is provided to our participants and staff we have introduced two new positions to our Community Services team, Community Engagement Officers.

About the role

Two Community Engagement Officers will work together to ensure maintenance of the roster, provide on call support and support the intake team. The two roles will share a roster working every second weekend (with two days off each week!)

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Making sure our NDIS participants have the right Community Care Worker by their side. (Our roster is dynamic; constantly changing as our participants’ needs change).
  • Using our system, juggling phone calls, emails and system notifications using his or her excellent organisational and administration skills to ensure we provide a smooth, efficient service to our participants.
  • Being a key point of contact for our employees, accommodating their availability preferences and keeping them informed at all times.
  • Providing on call support to employees
  • Supporting the administrative functions of the office, including answering the phone, greeting visitors to the office and broad administrative tasks
  • Administratively supporting the overall intake function
  • And more!

The preferred candidates will have:

  1. Diploma level qualification in Community, Disability or Welfare Work would be highly regarded
  2. Previous experience and knowledge in the field of disabilities and/or mental health
  3. Experience in an administrative or reception role
  4. Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems
  5. The ability to work in a face paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  6. Outstanding written communication skills
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
  8. High level of attention to detail, responsiveness and happy to work to deadlines
  9. Ability to work every second weekend, on a rotating roster (you will still get two days off per week!)
