Delivering a comprehensive range of programs to support children, families and individuals, their key services focus on early help and prevention, targeted support and ongoing assistance.

About the role

The purpose of the newly created position of Practice Lead, Therapeutic Frameworks and Supervision is to provide cross-program support to enhance practice leadership and supervision with a strong strategic and coordinated focus on client outcomes and quality service delivery. You will provide leadership for implementing strategies to develop and expand quality service provision and identify current and future opportunities to achieve improved outcomes for clients of Cafs.

Your key objectives will include:

  • Developing and implementing practice advice, guidance and best ways of working with clients, including cross agency approaches
  • Identifying and implementing evidence-based frameworks and professional development to support Client Outcomes staff
  • Developing and implementing a Professional Supervision Framework that defines training, development and delivery of operational and clinical supervision of staff across Cafs
  • Supporting the commitment to providing regular and effective supervision in line with the Cafs supervision framework
  • Overseeing the delivery of DHHS guidelines and protocols in line with evidence based practice to support positive outcomes for children, young people and families

A Bachelor level qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Psychology or a relevant field as a minimum plus substantial work experience in the sector are essential for this role. You will have a proven background in understanding the current issues and trends relevant to the Client Outcomes teams as well as leadership experience in supervising and supporting staff working within a complex and demanding environment. You will need to be able to demonstrate an interest in applying your practice experience to teach, coach, guide and mentor practitioners through a variety of learning methods. Your collaborative approach, well developed written skills and ability to engage, build rapport and effectively influence will be highly regarded. Qualifications and or experience in training and assessment will be advantageous.

This position has been advertised as full-time however we are willing to consider part-time hours (minimum .8) for the right candidate.
