The role

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our charity challenge events with a focus on fundraising coaching, participant support and community management.

The role is designed to ensure that participants have a positive engagement with Inspired Adventures from making the initial inquiry to completion of their adventure and that they are supported in raising vital funds for their chosen charity.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the relationship between Inspired Adventures and our challenge event participants, ensuring excellence in service.

  • Creating engaging content and programming to build community among participants and increase fundraising outcomes.

  • Working collaboratively within the team and supporting the Campaign Managers to meet campaign objectives and attain key milestones.

  • Managing pre-departure administrative and participant preparation.

  • Conducting all internal and external business relationships in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.

  • Maintaining accurate and thorough database records of communication.

Selection criteria:

The Fundraising Coordinator must be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent phone manner and email etiquette.

  • Strong organisational skills, allowing effective support for Campaign Managers in the coordination of campaigns.

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to build rapport with participants and clients.

  • Excellent writing skills and experience executing community communication strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Upbeat attitude and flexibility to take on new tasks.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Competence in current office systems for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

  • Empathy with the mission and goals of the not for profit sector, its objectives, opportunities, and limitations.

  • Alignment with the values and mission of Inspired Adventures and a commitment to its growth.

The following will be looked upon favourably:

  • Experience in face-to-face marketing, fundraising, or donor stewardship.

  • Experience in community management or communications.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector or have personally fundraised before.

  • Experience using Salesforce.
