The Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network Ltd. (ICAN) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Cairns, North Queensland. ICAN provides consumer education, advocacy and financial counselling assistance services for all Indigenous Australians. Our vision is 'Empowering Indigenous Consumers.'
ICAN Financial Capability Trainer will work collaboratively with the Financial Capability Team to plan, develop, implement and evaluate the delivery of all ICAN training initiatives, including to ICAN Learn, which is a subsidiary of ICAN.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will work with other ICAN business units to liaise, design, train, deliver and evaluate various financial capability training programs for Indigenous consumer groups.
The successful candidate in collaboration with the Financial Capability Team will work with key stakeholders within the philanthropic, government, industry and community sectors to promote the development of collaborative financial empowerment models.
We offer above Award rates working 36.25 hours per week, full-time equivalent and five weeks annual leave with ongoing development and salary packaging. Salary range of $78,000 - $86,000 per annum.
To perform this role it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is, therefore, a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
