iNDige-IS is a NDIS disability service. iNDige-IS is providing a range of services including Support Coordination, Peer Mentoring and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching in Adelaide.

Our vision is to provide the best care and support to all people with a disability. We want to ensure all people with disability are provided with high quality and culturally safe services that are relevant to their needs and wants.

Most of our clients come from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background or come from other culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and you will be working with them to build their capacity and achieve goals of their own design.

About the Role

The Support Coordinator will provide tailored, interpersonal support for vulnerable NDIS participants requiring assistance implementing their NDIS plans.

As a Support Coordinator with iNDige-IS, you will assist our clients to connect with service providers to achieve the goals outlined in their NDIS plan. You will know how to read and interpret NDIS plans and be confident in explaining to your clients how to turn the words on paper into supports in real life.

The role involves both outreach and office-based duties. Strong networks and an ability to build rapport with a wide range of people will be vital to the success of this role.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Connect with, support, build reciprocity, trust and shared experience with people who access our services.
  • Guide and support each person with their goals and be strengths, ability and possibility focused.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to promote client safety, and to identify and overcome barriers to client social and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain meticulous case notes and produce reports and other written material as required.

This role is being offered on a part-time, 6-month contract. Working hours are flexible to suit the needs of the business.

To be successful in the role you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate your ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse range of clients and colleagues
  • Proven experience in NDIS support coordination
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and rapport building skills
  • Demonstrate your ability to work in a culturally aware and trauma informed way
  • Demonstrated written ability including report writing and case noting
  • Experience working in fee for service or billable hours environments and ability to prepare and work within customer budgets
  • Demonstrate your ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

Remuneration

  • Position is classified Level 4.1 – 4.4 under the SCHCADS award
  • Salary range is $35.64 to $38.96 an hour, plus superannuation

Requirements…

  • Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance), NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check.
  • You must hold a current driver's licence and have the willingness to travel across Adelaide.
