Impact you will have in this role

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role is responsible for developing engaging content and campaigns that showcase the impact of the NORTH Foundation and its beneficiaries.

You will take ownership of the Foundation's twice-yearly fundraising appeals, managing campaign development and delivery across print, digital and social channels. Working closely with fundraising colleagues, clinicians, patients and donors, you will identify and develop compelling stories that connect supporters to the Foundation's mission and impact to drive donor engagement.

You will also contribute to broader marketing and communications initiatives, developing awareness campaigns, donor communications and promotional materials that strengthen engagement, build brand recognition and support fundraising outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development and delivery of the Foundation's twice-yearly fundraising appeal campaigns.
  • Create compelling patient, donor and impact stories that communicate the value and outcomes of philanthropic support.
  • Develop content for print, digital, social media, email and website channels.
  • Manage the communications and content calendar, including key campaigns, events and awareness days.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, patients, researchers and internal stakeholders to identify storytelling opportunities.
  • Develop and implement integrated campaigns that support fundraising programs including appeals, bequests, trusts and foundations.
  • Support the promotion and positioning of the NORTH Foundation as a leading healthcare charity.
  • Coordinate campaign production with external suppliers including designers, printers, videographers and photographers.
  • Assist with the development of marketing collateral, landing pages, annual reports, donor surveys and event communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance and engagement metrics, using insights to inform future activity.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in a marketing, communications or fundraising communications role, ideally within the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously
  • Strong content development and storytelling skills, with excellent written communication abilities
  • Experience creating content across digital, social media, print and email channels
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups
  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Proactive, driven and solutions-focused with a can-do attitude
  • Commitment to advancing medical research and improving patient outcomes
