About the Role

The Program Manager is responsible for managing our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC). Partnered with the Department of Health, ICLA is launching a PARC service in the South East Sydney LHD to offer a short stay residential program for people experiencing mental health issues. The PARC model will operate 24/7 and offers a step up / step down model to assist people in their mental health recovery. The Program Manager will oversee the daily operations of the centre, its maintenance and the management of its multi-agency team. The Program Manager will lead a team of support workers and peer workers to provide psychosocial supports for PARC guests and will work closely with the Clinical team to ensure integrated services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and direct the support and management of guests with complex needs
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of individualised, weekly plans for each individual
  • Manage a program budget and oversee efficient resource allocation
  • Coordinate the centres day to day activities
  • Manage a multi-agency team, providing clear direction to all staff
  • Coordinate response to any incidents
  • Joint working with a clinical team to ensure delivery integrated supports
  • Safeguard and ensure workspaces are compliant with WHS standards
  • Conduct and coordinate residential maintenance and improvements where necessary

Essential Criteria

  • Previous managerial experience
  • Experience building strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Support worker qualified or psychology experience
  • Commitment to person centred practice and a trauma informed approach to practice
  • Degree or masters in social work preferred
  • Understanding of Australian Work, Health and Safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
