• Empowerment and Accountability Project: Empowering Religious and Ethnic Minorities and Calling for Accountability (EAP)

We are seeking an experienced project manager who is an exceptional communicator and has a demonstrated track record of success in leading advocacy campaigns and/or programs. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to make a globally significant contribution in the fight against human rights abuses occurring in China today.

The Project Manager will implement our new Empowerment and Accountability Project (EAP) ensuring that relevant standards, requirements and quality are met at all times. The role will include managing subcontracted services and volunteers.

The EAP Project is a global outreach program aimed at raising the profile of the human rights abuse of forced organ harvesting. The project will call for accountability and transparency, produce outreach and educational materials, and empower the victim diaspora through online trainings and mentoring.

• Reports to and works alongside: Project Director
• Hours: 3 days a week - home based (primarily). Meet with Project Director regularly online and in person when possible
• Remuneration: $40K
• Proximity to Northern NSW an advantage however this is a work from home position so applicants from other regions are also encouraged to apply

POSITION DUTIES

• Write and develop the EAP program plan and coordinate its implementation
• Manage and promote the EAP online training program to strengthen the knowledge base of the victim diaspora
• Coordinate and develop high quality advocacy resources and outreach materials
• Manage the EAP global outreach program which calls for accountability and transparency
• Develop and carry out evaluation strategies in order to strengthen and develop the program over time
• Provide reports to the Project Director, Board and donors on progress and milestones.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Excellent organisational skills including ability to plan own workload and meet deadlines whilst coordinating and overseeing volunteers and subcontractors
• Strong efficiencies in conducting assessments, report writing and carrying out monitoring and evaluation tasks
• Ability to influence stakeholders from community, business and government at a senior level through to grassroots community
• Experience in online event management and promotion (eg: webinars/online trainings)
• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office

Desirable

• Proficiency across social media platforms
• Knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for human rights, with previous work in issues pertaining to China an advantage
• An understanding of policymaking and decision-making processes in government and political parties

The term of this role is fixed until July 2021 with a probation period of 3 months.
