About the Opportunity:

The Injury Prevention Officer – Community Engagement is a member of the Injury Prevention business unit and is responsible for supporting community-focused injury prevention projects that sit within broader programs and services. These programs and services are designed to contribute to the reduction in injury rates across Western Australia.

Injury Prevention Officer – Community Engagement:

  • Support with the coordination of injury prevention projects including their formative research, design, planning, implementation and reporting
  • Support the development and coordinate the delivery of Injury Matters injury prevention activities including; campaigns, community education and resources
  • Represent Injury Matters on external advisory committees and speaking engagements
  • Provide technical injury prevention and management knowledge within Injury Matters

About You:

You will have strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated knowledge and experience in community engagement. You will also have experience in project planning, resource development and report writing.

Ideally, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Health Science, It would also be desirable if you had an understanding of one or more of the following sectors: aged care, road safety, not-for-profit and working with volunteers.

Working at Injury Matters:

This position is a full-time, max-term position based in our Leederville office. Some intra and inter‑state travel may be required. At times you will be required to work outside of regular business hours. Injury Matters is a family-friendly, flexible workplace.
