About the role:
Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative and person-centred organisation. We are seeking a like-minded person to Coordinate I Can Jump Puddles Positive Behaviour Support Service.
- Skills, knowledge and experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Sound understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission.
- Understanding of the principles and evidence-based practice regarding the delivery of positive behaviour support approaches within diverse environments, including their home and community supports.
- Meets (or has the ability to meet) the requirements of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework to qualify as a behaviour support practitioner
- Provide support and guidance to other staff regarding identification, authorisation and reporting of restrictive practices
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality and compliance requirements for behaviour support plans and other documentation
- Oversee PBS admin role
- Supporting the achievement of quality accreditation through the development, dissemination and review of procedures and participation in internal and external audits.
- Ensuring complaints are managed where appropriate or directed to appropriate manager in accordance with organisational policy
- Coordinate regular team meetings and identify gaps in skills sets of the team members that require further development
- Review PBS service delivery needs regularly to ensure they meet quality requirements and optimise outcomes for clients
- Comply with all Professional Development and supervision requirements as per operational requirements
- Monthly PBS reporting to the Admin Manager in line with organisation expectations
- Support regarding new appointments, inductions, and Professional Development for the team
- Administration for the Complex Needs Panel
About You

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with particular emphasis on interpersonal communication skills, establishing trust and rapport, maintaining confidentiality, Report writing; and record-keeping
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated competence in the use of information technology, internet, and desktop applications; e.g. electronic client record systems, google workplace and database packages
- A natural leader who is approachable and responsive who can react assertively to competing demands on PBS team.
- Experience in coaching and developing practitioners
- Minimum 3 years human services experience
Part time 3 days per week (Monday, Thursdays Fridays) based at West Beach Office.
