This is an exciting opportunity to influence local government climate change activities with Australia's leading councils.

NAGA is a network of nine Melbourne councils working together to create a zero-carbon society and provide maximum protection against the impacts of climate change.

You will help deliver projects, workshops and research to achieve this aim. You will have strong project management and communication skills and be able to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing climate change programs, and knowledge and understanding of climate change impacts and how local government can adapt to them
  • Project Management skills including demonstrated capacity to research, develop, coordinate, deliver and review successful programs, and demonstrated the ability to prioritise and plan workloads for effective time-management
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including facilitation and presentation skills; report writing and preparation of educational material; experience and capacity to communicate well with people from diverse backgrounds; and capacity to use various media and software packages
  • Capacity to effectively organise events, forums, and workshops
