Do you have experience and expertise in environmental planning? Are you passionate about protecting native vegetation and working with others to achieve sound environmental built form outcomes?

We now have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our team on a temporary part-time basis as an Environmental Planning Officer.

We are looking for someone to join our team of highly experienced environmental planners who has high level technical skills in environmental planning; understands how to negotiate positive environmental outcomes through the development process; has a thorough knowledge of the native vegetation values of Hume; who can develop local policy for strategic and statutory planning applications; works well in a small team and with others to build the capacity of the development industry and planning sector, across our organisation and with the community to achieve integrated environmental outcomes.

Key Skills

  • Understanding of Water Sensitive Urban Design and Industrial Stormwater Management for environmental planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level organisational skills and experience successfully navigating different priorities
