Humanitix is converting the USD$3.7bn in annual global booking fees into social impact projects that close the education gap (Indigenous scholarships, literacy programs for young girls and more). We are looking for new Sales Development Representatives to help us bring in new business at Humanitix and create impact through every deal.

Who are Humanitix?

  • We are the first not-for-profit ticketing platform. We use our profits from booking fees to close the education gap globally!
  • Operating as a ticketing platform we help event organisers (music festivals, conferences, galas, workshops etc) manage their event, sell tickets, and create impact through our philanthropic model.
  • Fast growth tech start up, well funded after raising $3m from Google, Atlassian and other philanthropists.
  • Founded in 2016, currently 32 people (soon to be 40)
  • We are a global business, and have offices in Sydney, Auckland, and soon to be Denver.
  • Our customers include Inner Varnika, Cancer Council, Lifeline, Westfield, In the Dark, Finer Things, Blazing Swan as well as events featuring the likes of Edward Snowden, Sean Carrol, Peter Singer and more.

What Will You Do?

  • You will have a monthly quota of meetings to book, and be responsible for bringing in new business in collaboration with the broader sales team.
  • Work with a team of incredibly smart, ethically minded, and AMBITIOUS people
  • Identify prospects & build relationships with event organisers (we are about helping and adding value, and NEVER hard sell)
  • Book meetings in the short term & build pipeline in the future. This role will naturally progress to a full sales cycle role (from lead sourcing to closing).

Career Progression

  • Your first 18 months will be learning our ticketing platform, pumping out calls and emails to prospective clients, sitting-in on sales demos and learning how we on-board new clients. By month 6 you’ll be starting to originate and close your own deals. Over the 18 month period you’ll become an absolute expert on ticketing, sales, CRM’s, our platform, and a range of industry verticals.
  • 18+ months - We are a fast growing social enterprise, so whether you want to manage a team, move into senior sales, account management, product, operations or something else is completely up to your competency and interests.
  • Years 3+ We are already in three countries… in another 3 years we will hopefully be in 6+... those in our team who deliver and have ambition could be leaders of a region or country. By example, James Humpherson, who joined us at the age of 24 (three years ago), is now General Manager of our Australian operation.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal skills, emotional intelligence, resilience and attention to detail and process are essential to the role.
  • Be ethically aligned and genuinely inspired by our mission.
  • Desire to smash quotas and goals, and continually raise the bar for your performance
  • You want to build a career in sales and be responsible for growing a business
  • Hubspot CRM experience and a marketing or SaaS background are beneficial (although not necessary)
  • All of our sales team were new to sales and had no industry experience - it's mostly about your attitude and people skills, so don’t be shy :)
