Shape the Delivery of Hello Sunday Morning’s Digital Health programs!

Oversee the team that works within the service design and service delivery of Hello Sunday Morning’s digital programs. The role sits within the Leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and is the most senior clinical role in the organisation. We are looking for a Senior Psychologist who is looking to innovate and work in a progressive organisation.

You will be responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day activities for the clinical and clinical governance teams. This includes managing day to day service delivery, as well as the general management, advice and support of clinical governance and clinical service employees.

This role works within the Leadership team to deliver initiatives for our members that are clinically sound, functional, user friendly and relevant to support our members change their relationship with alcohol, in the moment they need it. A huge part of this role is measuring and demonstrating social impact for alcohol and psychological distress. You will also be responsible for the health system and research partnerships, as they relate to our product design and evaluation from a clinical perspective.

We are looking for someone who understands the community need, funder need and where the nexus between digital technology and social impact intersects and can work well with the balance between product and clinical development and delivery.

Key Accountability Areas:

Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Lead the delivery of accountable, effective and efficient clinical services
  • Mentor, develop our team of Psychologists and AOD Counsellors
  • Monitor individual clinician performance, clinical risk and team wellbeing, providing support, guidance, feedback and performance coaching as required;
  • Oversee, develop and implement clinical service models and products for Hello Sunday Morning to high standards with external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Governance team to achieve ISO9001 accreditation and alignment with the Digital Mental Health Standards.
  • Find and maintain the delicate balance between clinical risk and product development by developing a strong relationship with the Product team
  • Work closely with the Development and Fundraising team to ensure products are what funders and the community needs

Oversee Clinical Governance

  • Ensure that HSM and the team demonstrate what clinical best practice looks like for digital health services
  • Oversee the leadership of Clinical Governance requirements, in partnership with the Clinical Governance Manager aligned to draft Digital Mental Healthcare Standards.

Represent Clinical outcomes to PR and Media

  • Disseminate information about the clinical validity and utility of Hello Sunday Morning products through clinical presentations and publications and other appropriate channels.
  • Review and sign-off on outward facing materials with clinical content, including our web content and any content developed by the Marketing and PR teams.
  • Act as Clinical spokesperson to the media, in relation to external opportunities

Research Partnerships

  • Develop and implement partnerships within the Health System
  • Develop and implement a research plan that demonstrates effectiveness to our funders, supporters and community
  • Develop and nurture effective working relationships with external clinical services, research groups or similar agencies.
  • Lead research endeavours by ensuring that clinical aspects of research activities adhere to ethical standards, and any adverse events or ethical breaches are reported in a timely manner to governing bodies and research partners.

Oversee Clinical Development initiatives

  • Work closely with the Clinical Innovation Lead, Subject Matter Experts and the Product team to develop new products and services and improvements within existing services.
  • Provide Leadership and guidance to support to:
  • Continually assess emerging technologies to optimise operational efficiencies
  • Define the strategic opportunities and challenges that can be addressed via digital capabilities
  • Understand community need, funder need and where the nexus between digital technology and social impact intersects
  • Actively work to ensure knowledge of digital therapeutics is current and up-to-date
  • Assist with clinical assessment of new business development opportunities as needed
  • Able to inspire, supervise and develop leadership in others to ensure the delivery of quality evidence based digital therapeutics

About You

  • Minimum of six years’ clinical experience at a senior level and appropriate professional qualifications and registration as a Psychologist
  • A background in either the alcohol and other drug sector, mental health sector is required
  • Experience leading a clinical team
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to build effective networks
  • A track record in clinical operations and management, including planning, resource allocation, audits and quality and safety mechanisms
  • Understanding of funding models such as government, philanthropic grants, Medicare and activity-based funding
  • Commitment to a collaborative team approach, staff development and self-development
  • Experience as a successful decisive leader in a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical development processes, and strategic planning
  • Experience working in Technology or similar environment (program management, Tech/ software company, product management, or e-commerce)
  • Experience with Digital Health technology is preferred
