Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) is situated close to the regional centres of Bendigo and Echuca, and only two hours from Melbourne. REDHS is an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, preventative and primary health programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires. REDHS as an organisation enjoys a strong relationship with its community and is focussed on delivering services to meet identified community needs. REDHS has a Residential Aged Care Program comprising of two Residential Aged Care Services that provide high quality, residential support care for elderly, frail and disabled members of the community. Both services are currently accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency of Australia.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Residential Aged Care Manager (RACM) is a member of the clinical leadership team and provides a professional link between Residential Aged Care and the Executive Management team by demonstrating accountability for the management and administration of the Rochester Nursing Home Annexe and the Rochester and District Hostel. Through effective change management practices, the RACM will build a cohesive, contemporary staffing structure that enables nurses to work to their full scope of practice, supported by personal care workers and other health professionals. The role initiates, contributes to and participates in strategic and policy discussions for the benefit of quality resident care.
To be considered for this exciting career and lifestyle opportunity you will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and be able to demonstrate experience as a manager with an ability to effectively initiate, lead, guide and manage change in a team environment to achieve organisational objectives. Post Graduate qualifications/extensive experience in Aged Care Management and/or relevant studies are also essential as are sound financial management and strategic management skills.
