The Organisation:

Our client is a not for profit organisation and a leading provider of wellbeing programs nationally, specialising in mental health and suicide prevention. They deliver ground-breaking online screening and educational tools, backed up by real-time support via phone or face-to-face workplace health and wellbeing awareness, and screening and support accessible to workers nationwide regardless of remoteness.

The Opportunity:

This is a 12-month project-based rolling contract position. It's an opportunity to make a real impact in an organisation that plays a pivotal role in preventing suicide of working people across Australia. This organisation prides itself on providing flexibility to its staff and a positive work life balance.

You'll lead the design and implementation of the Wellness Program for Owner Drivers Project, which aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of heavy vehicle drivers across Australia.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing and updating the project plan to achieve approved project deliverables and timelines
  • Managing contracts
  • Establishing and maintaining highly consultative and collaborative stakeholder relationships to support the design and delivery of the project
  • Coordinating the project Steering Committee and developing working groups as required
  • Collaborating with external consultants to deliver agreed services
  • Participating in research relevant to the project
  • Identifying risks, constraints and dependencies to enable successful delivery within agreed timelines
  • Writing high quality reports as required for stakeholders including funders
  • Contributing to the improvement of policies and procedures and identifying areas of improvement.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have experience managing large projects within a health or mental health setting from design to completion stage. Experience working in the not for profit sector will be highly advantageous.

It's essential that you have strong collaboration, highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated stakeholder management experience. You'll utilise strong written communication to prepare briefs and reports to support informed decision-making and planning.

Given the project's deliverables, it's also important that you have experience in a role where managing changing priorities and high workloads have developed your ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.

A Prince2 certification will be highly regarded.

You must be willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Card.

The Salary/Rate:

$90 - $100k + 9.5% super + PBI.
