Hope Street Youth and Family Services Ltd ("Hope Street") has over 35 years of experience delivering specialist services to young people and their families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a positive and dedicated Youth Residential Support Worker for a part-time position, at Melton. In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in young people’s lives. You will complete client file notes as needed and assist with administration duties to help operations run smoothly. On a day to day basis you will provide assistance with connections within the community, personal and social development; living skills and household tasks such as food shopping, cooking and cleaning. You will also assist young people to access and maintain employment, engage in training and participate in their community.

ABOUT YOU

You have a relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences, human services, community studies, relevant experience and are looking forward to starting a role where you can have a real impact. You have highly developed communication skills including relationship building, problem solving, report writing and you pride yourself on your ability to motivate and advocate for clients to achieve outcomes. You would describe yourself as a team player and you enjoy interacting with a wide range of people. You are competent using the full suite of Microsoft applications and don’t mind helping out with administrative tasks as needed.

You will be available to work a set roster of 30 hours per week. The shifts are: Sunday to Thursday evenings (4 pm to 10 pm); all with attractive penalties.

  • Current Working With Children Check
